Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Growth and Innovation
2024 was a milestone year for PrepVector. Here’s a snapshot of what we achieved together:
Educational Excellence
Our Product Data Science Course remained our cornerstone offering, helping hundreds of professionals transition into and advance in data careers. Our wall of love continues to grow with transformation stories that remind me why I started PrepVector.
Launching our AI/ML Projects Course with Maven was a significant milestone, allowing us to expand our curriculum and reach even more aspiring data professionals.
The Demo Day led by Siddarth Ranganathan was a proud moment, watching our learners confidently showcase their projects and apply their learning to real-world problems.
Content & Digital Innovation
Launching this PrepVector Newsletter (yes, the one you're reading right now!) was a personal milestone in our journey to share knowledge more widely.
I'm proud of our expanded digital product lineup, including our comprehensive ebooks on data science preparation and A/B testing.
Collaborating with Arun on the Recommender Systems Series was particularly exciting - there's something special about working with experts who share your passion for education.
Community & Partnerships
Returning to my alma mater, the University of Cincinnati, to speak with aspiring data professionals about the data landscape in the industry was a truly fulfilling experience.
I am extremely thankful to Namay Jindal and Nikki Patel for the opportunity to judge Project Expo, a Data Science Hackathon at New York University.
The webinars with industry leaders like Ankit Sirmorya and Karun Thankachan showed me how vibrant our community has become.
Working with Sai Bysani on our LinkedIn Product Sense Series opened new avenues for knowledge sharing that I'm excited to explore further.
The 2025 Roadmap: What’s Next for PrepVector?
I recently organized our first PrepVector offsite, bringing together minds I deeply respect to shape our future. We spent days diving deep into what the data science community needs and how we can serve them better. I listened to stories about the challenges professionals face, analyzed the latest industry trends, and brainstormed solutions that could make a real difference.
During our discussions, what struck me most was how the landscape of data science education is evolving. The rise of AI, the critical need for practical experience, and the value of strong professional networks – these themes kept emerging in our conversations. This led me to two major initiatives I'm thrilled to announce for 2025:
PrepVector Job Board
I'm creating a specialized job board that will list top and highly relevant data science jobs in the industry. Having worked closely with both hiring managers and candidates, I understand the importance of meaningful matches. This platform will leverage our deep understanding of the field to connect talented professionals with opportunities where they can truly thrive.
SQL Challenge Launch
I'm thrilled to kick off 2025 with our first-ever SQL Challenge! Over the next two months, we'll be sharing carefully curated SQL content and resources to help you level up your SQL skills. The challenge will culminate in an exciting competition where participants can showcase their expertise. I'm especially excited about recognizing our top performers with rewards and special shout-outs to celebrate their achievements.
